Mothers Day

I sit with the strongest, with the most resilient, with the ones who fight battles no one ever knew needed fighting. 

The truest of heroes, undercover heroes 

Side by side they sit in silence

The understanding they share pierces through their gaze 

A strength, a fight, I will never understand 

I sit next to them, just to be present 

I have nothing to say, not to them 

I just want to be close, close to the bravest, to the strongest

In the loudest silence

These heroes, 

Yes, they are mothers 

They are the creators of life

They are the strongest of fighters 

The protectors of the living

They do not fight for themselves 

They fight for their children, and the children of others

They can not be stopped and they do not give up 

And they have never walked away from a fight

Not until they win! 

This Mothers Day, Fight with them, stand in solidarity with the mothers fighting 

TO BRING THEIR BABIES HOME!!!!
