What do you need?

Someone asked me, What do you need?
The question was clear, the answer was simple
Isn't it obvious?
Wait, don't we all need the same one thing?
I need this to end, I need this day to end!
I'm desperate to have normal worries
Everyday problems
I want more than anything to be able to do the simplest, dumbest, stupid things
I need you to come home,
I need you all to come home.
I need to be able to take a breath in the fresh air
Without my lungs cracking
I need to be able to sit still and eat a proper meal
Instead of grabbing things here and there, just to keep myself alive
I need to enjoy the sunshine, the outside world, the calm of nature
I can't, my body won't allow it, I can’t be free
I’m stuck in the darkest memories of my life.
I’m here, on repeat
Once again
Waiting to be saved.
I need this day to end
628 day long day.
I need the sun to set, for the day to be put to rest
So we can all stand under the sunrise, take one deep breath together
Free
